2012 Theme for Wayside Baptist Church (Click the banner for desktop wallpaper)
In the year 2012, it is our desire to follow the leadership of God and His vision for our church. The theme that God has put upon the heart of our pastor is from II Corinthians 5:7, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Fatih has been defined as "taking God at His Word." It is believing that what God originates, He also orchestrates. At Wayside Baptist Church, we believe that faith is the essential ingredient to a healthy, God-centered church. The scriptures teach us that faith is essential in pleasing God (Hebrews 11:6). It is the substance (or title deed) of our hope and the evidence (or conviction) of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). If you study the history of the patriarchs through the lense of Hebrews chapter 11, you will find that every miracle God performed in their lives was done because they walked "By Faith" (Hebrews 11:4, 5, 7-9, 17, 20-24, 27, 29-31). As a church it is our desire to please God and to allow God to do great and mighty works through His people. It is with this thought in mind that our challenge this year is that we might walk "BY FAITH"!
