Statement of Faith for the Wayside Baptist Church

·         We believe in the verbal/plenary inspiration of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments.

·         we believe that God preserved His Word for His saints.

·         we believe that the King James Version is God's Word for the English-speaking people.

·         we believe that Jesus Christ is the virgin born Son of God, begotten by the Holy Spirit, and is truly God and man.

·         we believe that man is born with a sinful nature and is in need of a New Birth.

·         we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of all mankind as our substitutionary sacrifice.

·         we believe that all those that receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit, have become children of God, and receive the gift of eternal life.

·         we believe in the eternal security of the believer.

·         we believe in the personal, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

·         we believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord and His ascension into Heaven.

·         we believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust.

·         we believe in the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost (heaven and hell).
